Loan Officer Assistant Help Wanted

More and more loan officers are expanding their network resulting in a big flow of loans entering their pipeline. One way to help these loan officers is via loan officer assistants to help them manage, control and help with the production of the loan officers pipeline.

We are seeking Loan Officer Assistants to work closely with highly producing Loan Officers/Branch Managers. This individual’s primary responsibility will be to provide clerical/administrative support to his/her and their team.

Essential responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Adhere to general work requirements
  • Provide administrative support to the Sales Manager and Loan Officers (i.e., answer calls, manage calendars, schedule meetings and copy, fax and file documents, etc.)
  • Communicate general information to prospective applicants and delegate complex questions to applicable individuals/departments
  • Request and collect documents from borrowers under the guidance of Loan Officers
  • Serve as the main point-of-contact for new business
  • Input application data collected by Loan Officer into the system and ensure data accuracy
  • Provide updates to the SVP Sales regarding pipeline status
  • Review complex files, identify issues and determine solutions before submission for processing
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Assisting in managing loan portfolios with regard to analyzing income and tax returns, credit quality and administration, and portfolio performance
  • Facilitation the application process by initiating pre-qualification inquiry calls and reviewing resulting data with the loan officer.

General Skills:

  • Working knowledge of mortgage origination process and ability to communicate the process to applicants
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and maintain productivity and professionalism when dealing with customers and changing work demands
  • Self-starter and ability to work in a team environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient working knowledge of computerized applications such as word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation software, email, and specialized business applications software
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers and other business areas as required
  • Planning and organizational skills are vital to coordinate the workload around multiple assignments.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
